Storm Lion

Storm Lion

Originally this was intended to be a backdrop for one of my more complicated abstracts. It was meant to convey serenity and calm, growing despite the constant of surrounding chaos and I was going to layer collage work over the top of it.

The truth is, I’ve never known when to leave well enough alone. If left to my own devices, this would likely have ended up somewhere very different.

Thankfully, one of my fellow contributors was able to convince me that it had legs and was not only finished, but inspirational. I was thrilled with the piece and it has spawned several collaborative collections between the two of us.

Storm Lions primary medium is oil over bristol, and backed by up-cycled cardboard.

A high-quality scan of this piece is, as well as several of it’s companion collaboration pieces, are available on Displate.
