Patchwork Claw

Patchwork Claw

Much like autumn eye, this started as a project I was unsatisfied with. Sometimes, you just have to destroy to create. I chopped it up into little squares and rectangles, then loosely fixed them to a cardboard backing, before giving them a once-over with some additional paint where necessary.

In the end, it wasn’t quite enough. I drug three of my fingers, dipped in red paint, over the patchwork surface, almost like an animalistic claw.

Please note that this is available on our Displate, however, because of the square size, only a cropped version is there. There is also a collaboration piece with this painting available.
